2 bids in 1 to go!

We are anxiously awaiting our last builder's quote on our house.   The first 2 are MILES apart! They are both bidding on the same plans with similar allowances for flooring, cabinets, lighting etc, so it's hard to see where and how they spend the money and how the final costs differ so greatly.  Their breakdowns do not itemize the different sub parts so it is impossible to compare.

We will wait to see our 3rd quote (he was on vacation over the same period as we were...) compare  his to the first 2, and then schedule some meetings to have things explained in further detail.  Originally our architect wanted to be included in all this deciphering, so we will see if he still wants to be an active participant in all this.  GOOD THING WE'RE  NOT IN A RUSH to get this house built:)
